ELIGIBILITY
1. All student-athletes must be registered:

2. All student-athletes must turn in an Assumption of Risk 1 time in their career at NHS:

3. All student-athletes must have an up to date physical from their doctor(physicals are good 1 year to the date on the form):

4. All student-athletes must be academically cleared.
5. All student-athletes must have returned previously issued athletic department uniforms.

COACHES CERTIFICATIONS
Initial Certification Requirements (Years 1-3):
BCI
o NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course including the RIIL Rules Test
o NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse Course
o NFHS Concussion Course (Must be Taken Annually)
o NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course  (Must be Taken Annually)
o NFHS Online First Aid, Health and Safety Course or Red Cross or American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid Certification or equivalent.
o Red Cross, American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification or equivalent.
o Completing these courses on NFHS will then get you your level 1 status via NFHS. You can see your progress towards completion as you go on the NFHS site.

Coaching requirements year 4 and on: 
o (1) NFHS Online Sport-Specific Course
o NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Course
NFHS Implicit Bias Online Course
o NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course
o NFHS Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors Course
o NFHS Engaging Effectively with Parents Course
o NFHS Sportsmanship Course
o Completing these courses on NFHS will then get you your level 2 status via NFHS. You can see your progress towards completion as you go on the NFHS site.

Lifetime Certification
• Coaches that complete all NFHS Honor Roll Level 3 requirements will achieve RIIL Lifetime Certification.
• Please Note that Coaches who earn the NFHS Honor Level 3 designation must still continue to maintain current certification in the following areas:
o NFHS Online First Aid, Health and Safety Course, or Red Cross or American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid Certification or equivalent course.
o Red Cross, American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED Certification or equivalent course.
o NFHS Concussion Course (Must be Taken Annually)
o NFHS Online Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course (Must be Taken Annually)
